Welcome into this Wednesday edition of pushing the pile.

We have five guys apiece, five impending free agents that we love

a fit for that we're going to discuss on today's show. But first, some news broke right before

we got on air, some huge NFL trade news ahead of next week's new league year. Trent McDuffie,

former first round pick, all pro cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs,

gets dealt to the Los Angeles Rams for the 29th overall pick in this year's draft, a fifth

rounder this year, a sixth rounder this year, and a third rounder in 27. Obviously, the Chiefs

needing to make some cap-changing, cap-s saving moves here dealing one of their best players on this entire roster, going into his fifth year to try to cut some cap space and they get a first rounder in return.

JP, this one, this one didn't surprise me, but I love this for the Los Angeles Rams.

Oh, yeah. I love this actually for both teams, honestly. Of course, it sucks for the Chiefs having to let or trade one of their best

players overall. But when you think about what the Chiefs got, that first round pick, the 29

overall, fifth round pick, sixth round pick, 2027 third round pick, those are enough picks in capital to either move or move around in the draft maneuver,

or you can sit and take a corner at nine or you can take a corner falling later.

Like we've heard a lot about Jermont McCoy potentially falling.

I think that could be the area where the chiefs sort of regain a little bit more value. But Kansas City here, they were up against the cap. And it felt like McDuffie was going to be the odd man out. There was a lot of rumors that McDuffie and the Rams were working on something to get him a new deal. But for Los Angeles, this is sort of what Les Need does. This is very similar to the Jalen Ramsey trade that they made, getting him from the Jaguars.

And then they went and won the Super Bowl.

So I do think this is a win for both teams, but I'm really curious what the chiefs do with all this capital now.

Yeah, and for the Rams, they actually have to spend money this offseason. They are near the cap or the salary

cap floor. You know, every five years, teams have to spend a certain amount of money. And so they're going

to be making a good deal of plays. Their top 10 in the NFL and cap space. This is kind of the

spot they're in given how well they've drafted. So this won't be the first or excuse me, this won't be the last move. It's obviously the first move. It won't be the last move that the Rams make this offseason in terms of splash moves just because they have to. But for the Chiefs, it's kind of they're on the opposite end. This roster is all of a sudden super expensive. This is kind of just the way of the world when
