This is it, the free agency special. We've all been waiting for this day. And yes, we're going at least three hours, maybe more. We'll see how this all goes down. Live from the Xfinity Loft. It's the CHGO Bears podcast on one of the biggest

days of the NFL off season. We got the Hoagr. We got the Jonzer. We got Gregory P. Allen Braggs back from

Arizona. A very tough weekend for Gregory. He was working hard. He was at the Cubs game. He was at the

Bulls game. He was in the pool. He was in golf. He played golf. He has a tan. He looks too bad Wisconsin beat Purdue. You deserve that one now. I didn't watch it, so it never happened. Yeah. All right. There's, uh, listen, it could be a very, very busy day for the Bears. It could be a very non-busy day. It will be an incredibly busy day in the NFL.

Hoger, you wanted to start just with the sort of the look at Kevin Byard, who has been, obviously,

some of the Bears want to bring back, but at this time, they have not done it as of yet.

Yeah, I think just as we officially open up the period where players can agree to

contracts with teams now, they can't officially sign them until Wednesday at 3 o'clock,

but free agency officially begins here.

We all know that.

And Kevin Byrd is still out there.

And I think that that's kind of like the headline as we start this thing, because I think all of us, even including Kevin Byard and the Bears, feel like or have felt like,

that he would return to the team. But the fact that we are here at the start of free agency

and he is technically not re-signed. Maybe it's still going to happen here.

But the fact that he hasn't means that he can go out and talk to other teams.

Now, sometimes that helps set the market.

You know, Johns and I reported coming out of the combine that probably in the range of $8 to $10 million per year is what we're talking about.

When, you know, we got that information in my own head one of my first reactions johns was i don't know if he's going to think that's enough

so maybe this is a situation where he just needs to get out there on the open market let the market

tell you what the actual market is,

because that's what it is.
