Summary

(00:00-23:23) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jake Query welcoming producer Eddie Garrison back after a week off. They start the show off by discussing some brief thoughts on NFL Draft week for the Indianapolis Colts. Additionally, they opine on the game one dominating victory for the Indiana Pacers over the Milwaukee Bucks.

(23:23-36:59) – Prior to game one, ESPN’s Shams Charania revealed that Damian Lillard could return as early as game two for the Milwaukee Bucks. Jake explains why that may be beneficial for the Pacers. Also, Jake and Eddie touch on something that Pacers fans were doing during game one.

(36:59-48:18) – The first hour of the program concludes with Jake highlighting some of the comments that Chris Ballard made this morning ahead of the NFL Draft. He runs some of the statements through the Query & Company elixir to translate exactly what the Colts GM was saying.

(48:18-1:11:06) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, from CBS4 and FOX59 joins Query & Company to share some of his key takeaways from Chris Ballard’s pre-draft press conference from this morning. Mike believes that the most obvious need for the Colts needs to be addressed in the first round, reacts to a theory that Jake has about the Colts signing Daniel Jones to compete with Anthony Richardson leading up to week one, and comments on the Colts need at linebacker and kicker competition based off what Ballard said earlier today.

(1:11:06-1:21:04) – Last night when Jake was thinking about the NFL Draft, he had a brain dropping as to figuring out which positions are the hardest to replace on the roster. Jake and Eddie come up with three positions that most people won’t initially think of.

(1:21:04-1:30:29) – Hour number two concludes with Jake and Eddie by sharing some more thoughts on the Pacers game one win over the Bucks. They highlight something that allowed Indiana to get out to a big first half advantage and how Milwaukee might change their approach to combat that.

(1:30:29-1:56:25) – Michael Grady from the Minnesota Timberwolves and ESPN joins Jake Query to opine on game one of the Pacers/Bucks series. Grady also assesses how long it may take Damian Lillard to reacclimate himself with the team after missing the last 15 games, explains what it meant to him to be on the call of the game on ESPN in his hometown, and comments on the defensive approach Indiana implemented against Giannis Antetokounmpo in game one. Finally, he comments on the series between the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

(1:55:43-2:08:55) – During his conversation with Grady, Jake saw what Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison had to say about the Luka Doncic trade. Then, he and Eddie discuss some of the other NBA Playoff games that occurred during the weekend.

(2:08:55-2:17:03) – Today’s show closes with Jake discussing the closing of one his favorite places to go eat growing up. Plus, JMV joins the guys in studio to share some of his thoughts about the Pacers game ahead of his show!
