Welcome to the Finishing Footballers' DFS podcast with your host, Kyle Morganone and Matthew

0:22.2

Bet. Hello, we're leading up to NFL draft week here with Morgan Betts and Betts, it could not be any cooler than what we're doing right now.

0:38.2

You and I have had quite an eventful night before recording. Let's just, let's just recap for the people, you know, how we got in the mood to record a DFS podcast in April. What would you, what were you doing tonight?

0:51.2

Yeah, well, first off, people need to know what I'm looking at right now on my screen. It is you at a high top table with decaf coffee in your hand and slippers on.

1:01.2

So I think that you are peak adulting right now, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't also wearing a pair of slippers, drinking a cup of green tea.

1:09.2

Man, we are just killing adulthood right now. I'm not sure if we could improve upon the status that we're at right now. So this is going to be a great show. I'm excited.

1:17.2

Yeah, you know, if you're listening to us and you're thinking, hey, I'm in my slippers too. Well, you're in good company. But yeah, you know, this is what happens when you're into 30s and you get to record a football podcast in April. But we are going to talk about something that we're super stoked. We got a week from today.

1:33.2

Think about that Betts. A week from when we're recording. We will have the NFL draft. So we're going to get to break that down.

1:39.2

If this is your first time with us, this is DFS for the rest of us. This is a chance for you, if maybe DFS or Bestball or draft props. If those things are kind of intimidating, Betts and I kind of get to break those down in a really, really simple way.

1:53.2

And this show specifically is geared towards the NFL draft geared towards our favorite props from the drafting sportsbook. We'll walk through the first 12 picks, which goes all the way up to your Eagles bets. So we'll see how that goes.

2:08.2

No question about it. I'm ready to be heard again this year. No questions.

2:13.2

That's, you know, and I tweeted this out too. I mean, I feel like we're in the same situation myself as a Falcons fan using Eagles fan like I'm teaching my children right now about disappointment.

2:23.2

And so with a force pick, there's a lot of things that could go great. And there's a lot of things that could just break my heart. So we're in a good position.

2:32.2

If you want to follow us on Twitter, you can follow Betts at the fantasy PT, myself at Kyle underscore board. And I wanted to start us off with a quick question before we jump into draft talk and some of our props, Justin Fields, who we are obligated to talk about.

2:51.2

I want to quickly do a quick question about best ball. And right now you can play best ball on a number of different sites. We play a lot on underdog fantasy, but bets. Let's talk about best ball. Let's just talk right now ADP before the draft. Who are a couple of surprises? Who's someone that you're looking at? You're like, wow, this guy's going way too late. This is a surprise.

3:15.2

Our loyal listeners who have been with us since last year are going to hear me say this name and they're going to say, Betts, you silly goose. We talked about this guy too much last year when we talked about best ball values. And it was DJ Chark. And there was a reason that we were so excited about him as being a value last year because of the process. Right. You saw a breakout from him two years ago or two seasons ago, I should say. And we were expecting a better quarterback play from Gardner Menshu. Clearly it didn't work out. It was just a mess. Right. He dealt with injuries and it didn't it didn't work out. That's what happens in fantasy.

3:44.2

As a lot of our listeners have come to learn, there is heartbreak. And that was a lot of my best ball rosters with DJ Chark. However, I'm going back to the well. I'm excited about this Jacksonville offense to a degree, given that I think it can't get worse when we saw last year. And we're going to see improved quarterback play with Trevor Lawrence in my opinion. And now we're talking about a player who's dropped almost like four rounds in ADP compared to where he was going in August of last year. He is also all the way down at wide receiver 33 off the board.

4:13.2

73rd overall for DJ Chark. I think it's a great value. And I think the Jaguars offense in general is a good value because you can stack Lawrence and Shenalt and Chark or your boy, Marb, if you want to invest ball at a really reasonable ADP to get that stack. You know, you're not paying a premium to go and get that. And we talked about that division just being one of the worst in football. The defense is a project to be bottom 10 and several categories. So excited about DJ Chark this year. I think he's like the ultimate post type sleeper here for 2021.

4:42.2

No, I love that pick because last week you mentioned the Jaguars as a team that, you know, could be kind of sneaky in terms of there might be bad.

4:52.2

You know, the projected third in their own division. But yeah, they're definitely stackable in terms of those options. So I love that DJ Chark pick. I'm going to go with another wide receiver. It's going to sound like a Homer pick.

5:02.2

But Julio Jones right now is going as the wide receiver 17. He's going 44th overall. So he's a mid fourth round pick mid till even late.

5:12.2

And I wrote this in my notes, but it's pretty, it's pretty deep here. It says he eats receiving yards for breakfast. And you may have think Julio Jones.
