Antonio Williams, Clemson wide receiver is the pick at 71.

A lot of big name options, a lot of bigger receiver options on the board at 71.

The commanders take Antonio Williams, and at first blush, it's like, oh, my gosh, I took another slot receiver.

Listening to AP, listening to Antonio Williams, maybe there's more to it there.

I looked up some of the Clemson-Cade Clubnick stats that I think are a part of this story.

But the first reaction is certainly like, damn, Malachi Fields went two picks later.

I mean, all these other receivers with with big potential still on the board when washington took williams i think everybody

wanted them to take a receiver and they did so you got to maybe be happy with that but big man i

i think you're frustrated yeah i mean i i'm very happy they went receiver. I'm a little frustrated with the

receiver that they took. Listen, at the end of the day, it's about getting open, getting separation,

making plays, and it's certainly something that this kid did at Clemson, so I don't want to, you know,

be too negative on it. At the same time, it's the third kind of

slot scatty type wide receiver that they've taken in three years with Jalen Lane and

Luke McCaffrey. And I think obviously we all agree that, you know, what we've seen out of those

two guys don't lead me, don't lead us to believe that they're going to be big time

contributors to the offense. I think if they're your number three guy, cool, but not really like a number two

outside threat, really.
