A fun weekend and a good guest on as well. Eric Eager is the VP of Research and Development for Sumer Sports,

company that was started earlier this year helping NFL teams build better rosters as well as make better decisions from a

coaching and play calling standpoint utilizing all the data that Sumer Sports can provide.

Many of you will know Eric from his time at Pro Football Focus led the way there from the

data side for seven plus seasons before making the jump over to Sumer Sports.

In the first 25 minutes of this podcast, I'm going to go through a wide range of football

topics.

I think everybody will enjoy.

It's just a fan of football, give you something different to think about from Eric's perspective

when it comes to team building as well as constructing rosters, play calling, and a lot of quirks

within the game. He gets into some interesting insights of a lot of grading and stats used

around the industry as well. And then for the final 20 minutes of the podcast, we go through

each of the four games where he shares his thoughts. We actually, I think, come to consensus

on a couple of bets as well. With all that said,

Is that a fair assessment of the new job? It is. I mean, it's a lot of fun. I don't know how familiar

your listeners are with my situation, but I had, you know, what I thought was a dream job at pro

football focus. And, you know, I had never envisioned really leaving there. I was there for, you know,

starting part-time seven years ago, you know, full-time four and a

half years ago, ran, you know, ran research and development there for two or three years. And,
