And as always, quarterbacks, let me start right there, will be front and center. any doubt in your mind that Fernando Mendoza goes first overall. And then if

so, Dane, how do you feel about that fit and that

situation for him? Yeah, I mean, Fernando's already looking for real estate in Vegas. That's

a no-brainer for the Raiders as we've seen number one picks in recent years.

Even at this time last year leading up to the Combine, we were still wondering,

okay, are the Titans going to stay at number one, take Cam Ward?

There's no mystery here.

The Raiders are in a position where, yes, there are other needs on this roster,

offensive line, receiver, but they also

have a big need of quarterback, and you just don't pass on a guy when there's one right in front

of you.

And is Fernando Mendoza the level of prospectus, say, a Drake May or even a Caleb Williams,

that style?

Not quite.

He doesn't have those physical traits.

But what really separates him is just his

cerebral nature, how smart he is. He wins at the line of scrimmage, pre-and-post snap, and then how

deadly accurate he can be. That's what really separates him. And you do worry about, okay,

he played behind a veteran offensive line in Indiana, played with some really good receivers.

How is that going to look in Vegas when there are some question marks on the offensive line?

There are some question marks on the perimeter.
