Summary

Hello! It's the podcast about Celebrity Jeopardy! buzzer strategy, and also sports. Today, Katie and the Casualties break down reasonable better names for the Tush Push, Sandy Brondello's exit from the Liberty, A'Ja Wilson's fourth MVP, Matt Shaw's day off from the Cubs, and how you know hockey season's approaching when we're already getting strange San Jose Sharks stories. Then, ESPN'S Mina Kimes joins Katie [24:00] to discuss her recent run on Celebrity Jeopardy!, whether the six 3-0 teams in the NFL are actually good, whether the six 0-3 teams are actually bad, whether Daniel Jones is the next Sam Darnold, the weirdness surrounding the Mike McDaniel conversation, the Giants turning to Jaxson Dart, the Ravens' inability to stop anyone on defense and whether that continues against the Chiefs on Sunday, which NFL players lead the league in aura through three weeks, Jerry Jones' comments in advance of the Cowboys' matchup against the Packers, international football and scorching hot takes on air travel, the chances that NFL teams actually allow their players to play flag football in Saudi Arabia, Cal Raleigh's AL MVP case and the Mariners' World Series hopes, and Isabella's fantasy football domination despite the lack of a team name. THEN... in a very special appearance, reigning local Massachusetts golf league champion and Katie's Dad, Mike Nolan, joins the show to preview the Super Bowl of Dads, this weekend's Ryder Cup.

So there's a system called ABS, and basically the pitcher, the catcher, or the batter at the plate have the ability to appeal a call that a human ump made. Oh, like tennis? Yeah. You can challenge it. And then they go to the, yeah. So they get two challenges per game, but if the challenge goes through, like if you were right, if they called it a ball, you tap your helmet, and then they go to the review and it was actually a strike. Actually, why don't you tap your helmet? You would rub your belly. Yeah. Then you get to keep your challenge. So every team gets two challenges. And if you go into extra innings with no challenges, they give you one. So it's like a little, they used it during the All Star game. And I think it was successful. I think every appealed strike or whatever was called. Are most baseball players okay with it? I mean, fans, I mean? Well, I don't know. Fans are always interesting to see how they feel. Because to me, I'm like, that doesn't sound, that sounds cool. I do think it's going to put a weird spotlight on any bad calls in the postseason we're

about to get into. I feel like if I were a player that like, well, I wish I could appeal this.
