gentlemen, I want to get right into it,

0:17.7

because we have two teams to discuss over the next couple of segments,

0:22.2

and they are heavy hitter teams.

0:24.3

We're going to start with the Buffalo Bills.

0:26.2

Now, Danny, you know the bills fell a little short of making their Super Bowl run.

0:31.5

I don't know.

0:32.2

Maybe they weren't short.

0:33.2

They really came down to a first down call of measurement.

0:36.2

With that said, they are third on the odds board

0:39.0

plus 700 behind the Eagles and the Ravens, the Chiefs just trailing the bills at plus 800.

0:45.9

Danny, is this a deserved spot and is this the year for Buffalo? I think it is a deserved spot

0:51.8

and it's curious to see them ahead of their big brothers, the Chiefs that keep closing the door on them every time they're knocking. But I do think they can build off the success that they've been sustaining as a culture under Sean McDermott. This team went 13 and 4 last year and you look at the regular season setup, which we'll talk about more in this segment. I think they can walk through the regular season and potentially have a really strong playoff spot. It all comes down to what they do in that postseason see you, but I think this team can build on their success. They have a lot of the same pieces that led them to a super efficient season last year. And I see them being strong. I think a top three team, absolutely, this year. So they'll be in it once more. Alex, it is interesting to see those odds and to see the bills ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs. But, you know, at least they're behind the Eagles and the Ravens, which I think is probably the right spot. And frankly, I'd put them ahead of the Chiefs too. With all of that said, do you agree? And do you think maybe this is the year for Josh Allen and the bills?

1:50.2

I mostly agree. I think they are a very good football team and they also benefit from playing in a soft division. But as far as the bills are concerned, Danny mentioned that last year,

1:55.3

the efficiency was off the charts. They were one of only four teams in NFL history

1:59.2

to average more than three points per

2:02.3

offensive drive. The efficiency was just off the charts, especially when you consider you don't

2:07.6

have a thousand yard receiver. And James Cook just barely eclips 1,000 rushing yards. So yeah,

2:14.7

Josh Allen was absolutely phenomenal. He cut his touch, or excuse me, his interceptions down from 22 to just six last year.

2:22.5

So from an efficiency standpoint, it's going to be hard to improve.

2:26.8

I think it's going to be hard to replicate just how good they were last year.

2:31.0

That being said, I think they're going to be in the mix.

2:32.9

But the AFC is absolutely loaded. And it's a murderer's row at the top of that conference. So I think it's going to be tough for them to go to advance, but they certainly have a shot.
