Another edition of the Late Kick Extra podcast schedules all over the place right now.

I'm not even going to try and explain it to you. I'm not even going to put out a post or a schedule. Just it is what it is right now. Basketball is what it is. March is what it is. We will not say the O word. We call it the X season around here. Because it doesn't exist. I will evidence that by the fact that we've got a loaded podcast this morning. So thank you for joining whenever it is these things end up dropping. I promise normalcy will return soon. You've come through though. I mean, we got a lot in the mailbag this morning. I want to remind you of a couple of things. Okay. So it's Tuesday right now as I record this as you're probably listening to this. We've got late kick live coming up on Tuesday night.

Now, I know what you're thinking. Josh, you don't do late kick on Tuesdays in the X season. Well, you're right. So since we're doing one on Tuesday night, why don't we just change the time as well? Five Eastern, four Central, Tuesday night, late kick live. There you go. It's like the regular season almost. In the regular season, of course, we do it three nights a week. Going probably a little bit quicker than I anticipated. That's fine, though. I want to do as many of these as possible. And what I'm talking about is our next late kick show owners association meeting, which is just this massive Zoom, wherein you ask a bunch of questions, you talk, I talk, we talk, get a lot of stuff out of the way, a lot of questions answered, a lot of stories get told there that probably I would never even know to tell because I don't know you're interested in them. So when are we going to do that? Well, we're going to do it when I get over 2,000. And really every thousand thereafter that I cross on Instagram, which I've decided to take seriously in the last couple of weeks, that's when we'll do it. So we are steaming towards 2000 right now at late kick Josh. Give me a follow there. At late kick Josh. I'll tell you what I've started to post some because I think, well, I don't. I know because you tell me a lot of you guys like this stuff. when I go to games, when I cover games, I record a lot of behind the scene stuff, stuff like, you know, down a tunnel when a team's coming out of a locker room or going into a locker room in press conferences, before the game, after the game, when the public's not in the building, all that stuff. Stuff you don't get to see. I tell you about as much of it as I can, but I also record it as much as I can too. Hopefully we'll have a whole lot of new content along those lines when I'm back at games on Saturdays this fall. So that's where I talk to a lot of you guys. That's where obviously I post some stuff that you won't hear on the show. You won't see it on the show. You won't see it on Twitter. I put some stuff on Instagram that's pretty exclusive to Instagram. So at Late Kick Josh there, steal five of your friend's phones, follow me there. They won't mind. They probably won't even know. Matt says, what will it take for you to once again consider Ed Orgeron the right man for the LSU job? I've been watching your show for a long time. I've

seen your opinion of him gradually change. From my understanding, you used to hold some type of

admiration for him recently, and for good reason, the inflection and tone of your voice that you

use when speaking about Orgeron reveals more than just the words

you are saying. Is there anything he could do to make you feel like he can take our program

But as for Ed Orgeron, let's backtrack here and let's frame it up if you don't know what Matt's talking about. So when Ed Orgeron came to LSU, I did not think it was the right hire. I'd just be brutally honest with you. I didn't think it was the right hire. I view LSU as one of the top five,

easily top 10 and probably bordering on top five jobs in the country. So I thought that they could

get someone more qualified than a guy who had never had success leading a program before. Okay,

it was really nothing personal towards Orgeron. That would have been my blanket assessment,

regardless of who they hired with that kind of resume. So then Orsiron comes in and he starts winning in 2019 and he has the right

collection of coaches, the right collection of talent. You remember how 2019 went. Well, I've always

been one to realize what I say matters as much as you make it matter, as much as I make it matter.

I mean, words coming out of someone's mouth really don't matter. What matters is results on

field. So here's what happens sometimes. What happens sometimes is you say something and then what

you expected to happen is not what happens. You got to be smart enough and sharp enough to realize
