And first and foremost, I want to thank today's guest, writer-director, Molly Elfman,

for coming down to chat about her feature film debut next exit.

Now, one of the reasons this was so much fun to do is this was my first in-person screening

and Q&A back since March of 2020. We've had a whole bunch of fall starts to do new screenings

in person with a crowd. And for a bunch of different reasons, all of them were sensible, it just

hadn't happened until now. So it was

really fun to do an in-person screening and Q&A that became our podcast. And kudos to Magnolia,

the studio for Next Exit, for making this happen because it was a lot of fun. You could see Next

Exit on VOD, wherever you find your VOD. you can rent it and watch it at home on Amazon or Apple,

or there is actually a limited theatrical release, so check your local listings and see if you

could mask up and go to a theater and see it near you. I know for sure it's in Los Angeles

and New York this opening weekend. But look, next exit is a trippy film. It was shot during the pandemic pre-vaccine, so they needed to be extra careful for this,

which is a road trip movie.

And Molly was very good about telling us what it was like to bring this long, justating

project to life that she had been writing for years and to shoot it during the pandemic
