Hi there and welcome to a very very early recording of the next best picture podcast. I am your host, Will Mavity. And this week,

we are starting a very special series called Next Best Adaptation, where you are readers and

listeners voted on three films that are adapted screenplay contenders based on source materials, books,

articles, graphic novels, short films. We here on the podcast have a book club where once a

month we will read one of those books, analyze it and turn, look at its chances as an

Oscar contender, analyzing the source material.
