Gonzales lands in Spain seeking asylum. Venezuela opposition presidential candidate Edmondo

Gonzales flew into Spain to seek asylum, Madrid said, hours after quitting his country amid

a political and diplomatic crisis over July's disputed election.

Gonzales, who has challenged President Nicholas Maduro's declaration of victory, arrived at the

Torijon-D-Ardo's military base with his wife, according to Spain's foreign ministry.
