Argentina halts Brazil poultry imports after bird flu outbreak, where?

The bird flu outbreak is one of the largest producers of poultry in the country.

And it comes from a state that Ernesto is very familiar with.

It's his home state.

This is a story that's building over these last days.

It begins with Argentina banning,

leads to the EU banning,

and then negotiates them with China, which is a major importer of

Brazilian food. Ernesto, a very good day to you. Where do we believe the bird flu

is started and what are they doing about it right now? What can they do about it because they

continue to investigate and it continues to spread. Good evening to you.

Good evening, John. Yes, this is very unfortunate. Brazil is by far the largest exporter of

poultry worldwide with 5,000 million tons or something like that.

So 5 million tons.

The United States is second far behind with less than 3 million,

just to give you an idea.

Brazil is responsible for maybe 40% of poultry exports worldwide.
