Welcome back, everybody, back-to-back bear attacks in both Yellowstone and Glacier National Park.

So drawing national attention after one hiker was killed and two others were injured within about 24 hours of each other.

In Yellowstone officials say two brothers,

ages 15 and 28, were attacked near the Mystic Falls area close to Old Faithful on May 4th.

Investigators believe the encounter involved a female grizzly bear with multiple cubs,

suggesting it was likely a defensive attack after the hikers surprised the animal. Both men were airlifted to the hospital

and are expected to recover. Then in Glacier National Park, another bear encounter turned deadly.

A 33-year-old solo hiker from Florida, Anthony Polio, was killed near Lake McDonald. Park

Park officials are reminding visitors that most bear attacks happen when animals are surprised

Experts recommend making noise while hiking, carrying bear spray, avoiding hiking alone, and staying alert in dense vegetation, or around dawn and dusk when bears are most active.

On Saturday, May 9th, National Park Service personnel recovered a body below the rim near Verkamp's visitor center on the south rim of Grand Canyon National Park.
