Hello everybody and welcome back to the YouTube News podcast for 2021. Yes, the hell year is

finally over and now we have 2021, which we have no reason to believe isn't going to just be as

bad as before. No, no, this one's new and this one's better. And hey, look, we've got to at least

hold it in our hearts until the evidence proves otherwise. Maybe this will be the best year ever. Who knows? Who knows? But it's a brand new year. And of course,

New Year's bring resolutions. You know, they bring plans. They bring new dawns. And I don't

know about you, but I've made a New Year's resolution or two or three. Yeah, I started making resolutions as the new year was dawning and I just

kind of couldn't stop, to be honest with you. So I thought I'd share some of my New Year's resolutions

with you, maybe to inspire you because perhaps you've not sat down and thought it through yet.

Maybe you've thought this year, I'm not doing a New Year's resolution. And that's what quitters do,

and that's what cowards do. And I'm not saying a New Year's resolution. And that's what quitters do. And that's what cowards do.

And I'm not saying that that makes you evil or a bad person, but I'm not going to say that it

doesn't make you those things. So hopefully you can hear my resolutions, feel inspired and warm

inside and work up some resolutions for yourself. So in no particular order here in my resolutions.

First of all, I'm going to stop giving quite so much money to charity.

The charities themselves say, like, we don't need this much.

Like, you're actually over-donating.

We've started having to just throw the money in the bin because it's too much money.

And, you know, as generous as I want to be, I don't want money to be wasted. You know,

one of the charities I donate to actually is the National Society for not wasting money.

So I don't want to be a hypocrite in that respect. So maybe just tone down my charitable

givings just a little bit. You know, I will hold my hands up and say I'm perhaps guilty of that.

Another resolution, I'm going to try and win fewer awards this year.
