In the day's other headlines, the U.S. military says it carried out three strikes against

alleged drug boats in the eastern Pacific Ocean, killing at least 14 people.

In a social media post, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the strikes were launched yesterday

and that one person survived. It marks a further escalation in the pace of the boat attacks
