On today's wrestling news, TNA sacrifice ends abruptly after a big injury.

Tony Storm's AW hiatus has, well, impacted a pretty major storyline.

An AW star has to undergo surgery after a pretty severe injury.

And Chris Jericho reveals that AW have pursued AJ Styles in the past.

My name is Phil Chambers and joined by Gareth Morgan to talk all things wrestling.

But first up, TNA sacrifice was last night.

And it had to end really abruptly after an injury to Steve Maclin in the main event.

He was facing Mike Santana in the main event, like I say.

And it was really early gone going in the match.

And he just gets absolutely drilled in the face

by a super kick and just immediately kind of crumples to the ground and you can tell it's not

a normal cell this guy just drops um the referee does a really really good job of stepping in

and trying to guide everything throwing up the ex X, obviously, and throwing it out.

So credit to TNA for sort of acting really quickly and divisively.

They sent out Eddie Edwards afterwards to kind of bore with Mike Santana just to sort of have something for the crowd, and they really swiftly got Steve Maclin out to the back.

So that was the end of the match.

It ended really, really quickly.

But PW Insiders Mike Johnson had a report quite quickly afterwards, just saying that he seemed

coherent backstage, but was obviously upset about how things went.

And the sort of early impressions is that he just suffered a severe concussion just by

getting absolutely drilled in the face.

So, yeah, credit to TNA for stepping in and stopping the match and getting him out there to safety.
