The RV industry sales slowdown is lasting longer than many dealers and manufacturers expected,

and some major dealership executives say the industry may need to fundamentally change how it does business.

At RV Business Magazine's annual power breakfast in Elkhart,

executives from some of the country's largest

RV dealer groups talked openly about affordability, customer experience, pricing transparency,

and the growing role of AI in the industry. So for years, our industry, quite frankly, has made

money on asymmetry of information. Steelers, manufacturers,

we've known units that are good quality, we've known what pricing should be, we've known which

dealers to bring your RVs to, and that is changing right now. And what's changing it is

artificial intelligence is actually leveling the playing field for information.

Information is becoming ubiquitous and it costs almost nothing for a consumer at the flip of their phone to find out what real information is, what real quality is.
