She's had quite a few of them over the years, with broken noses and fractured skulls or whatever it is. But yeah, something happened on Smackdown very recently, the February 20th episode, I should say, of Smackdown.

She had a match with Julia. It went to a DQ because of all the bloody tag teams getting involved and what have you. Naya Jackson, Lash Legend, want in those shots, the tag titles again. But also, Julia left her with quite the Shiner. Shortly after the match on Instagram, Ria Ripley went on with a message sarcastily wishing Julia a happy birthday while showing off her black eye. I should read this sentence to you because it's weird. Shout to Wrestling Observer for the way they've written this up. The exact moment when Ripley suffered the black eye is not confirmed. Although is it expected that the spot took place when Julia kicked hard on Ripley's skull

drilling her head into the mats.

She's previously broken her orbital socket and a broken nose last year as well.

So not a new thing for her but thankfully no serious injuries by the sounds of things.

What do you do as a wrestler when your injury sensitivity area, your glowing red spot, as it were,

is your face?

As you pointed out, Rhea Ripley's done a fantastic job of making the best of those bad situations over the years.

I would argue, I don't know, I'd need to go back and double check, etc. But it's not the worst thing in the world when it happens around war games specifically.
