Hello fellow rebel capitals hope you're well so we've got some news that I think

contradicts what we were talking about yesterday where the Wall Street Journal was

saying that hey the economy is resilient.

We're not going to have a recession.

This is no landing.

Why?

Because the consumer is incredibly resilient.

They have real, the real wages are going up in fact,

and they're up so much that they're going to have all of this

additional purchasing power and that's what's going to drive the economy forward

into 2024. That was the story that we were talking about yesterday. It's kind of a counter argument to my base case.

But now let's get into some of the recent shoplifting data that I don't know. Josh, maybe the consumer is so strong that maybe they're just maybe

what the Wall Street Journal is talking about in the mainstream media is that they're physically

strong.

Not like they have a lot of purchasing power, but they're just, they're getting ripped.

Like they're going to the gym a lot.

So they're so physically strong that they're able to steal a lot more when they go to

target. Like if you can only bench press like 150 pounds, I mean there's only so

much that you can haul out of that Walmart, but my goodness gracious if you get your bench up to like 2.25,

my goodness gracious, if you get your bench,

if you get your bench up to like 225,
