Hello there, my very good friends on this wrestling news video. Jamie Hater speaks on women's

0:04.5

wrestlers being under the microscope. The most ridiculous wrestling story of the year.

0:09.4

M.J.F. wouldn't take a pay cut for a WrestleMania moment. And Cedric Alexander reveals he

0:13.7

turned down all-elite wrestling. I'm Adam Wilborn. I'm Andy H. Murray. The H stands for heart.

0:19.4

Only love can break it, man.

0:43.8

This is the after news. You could probably physically break it with some implements. Yeah, yeah. But yeah, metaphorically speaking. Let's talk about this Jamie Hater quote. Good stuff for this. I mean, look, straight up, she's 100% correct. Yes. But it's been doing the rounds the past couple of days. The interview of SoundSphere, it came out shortly after Eve Russell Queendom, which was last weekend, which Jamie was on.

And she's talking about double standards, basically, when it comes to men and women and how things are analyzed and how things are perceived in pro wrestling. So I will read to you the whole quote about this situation and then we'll talk about it a little bit and then we'll probably try and sell you a VPN in the middle of it because that's what we do. Sounds good. That's the game. But yeah, here's what Jamie had to say. There's been a lot of changes for the better, but I can't sit here and be like, it's so great now because there's just so much work that can be done. But I can't say that there haven't been changes because there have, and all the women have worked so hard for them, but there's still stuff to be done. I feel like as a woman, we are probably under the microscope a lot more than men are. If you have a bad match, then it's like, oh my God, you're the worst wrestler ever. Whereas a guy could have a bad match and be like, oh well, or if you don't look a certain way, then they don't like that either. So, like, first of all, I think this is completely accurate. It's 100% correct. I mean, look, there's been... Like the opposite of the worst person you just made a valid point. One of your favorite people just made a really good point. Yeah, well, I mean, we did the worst person thing yesterday when we talked about Big Jim's comments on ticket sales or whatever, on ticket prices and all that stuff. But yeah, look, she's absolutely right. I mean, there's been phenomenal women's wrestling in the world for decades.

2:01.6

You can go back to the Joshi's wrestlers of the 80s and the 90s.

2:05.1

You can go and watch Dump Matsumoto and Lioness Aska and Jigusa Nagayo and Bull Nicano and many, many more.

2:13.7

And you can come all the way through to the present day.

2:15.6

And even like looking out with the major organizations

2:19.2

because I think both

2:20.1

WW and AW are absolutely stacked

2:23.2

but you can go to CML and you can see

2:27.2

Persephone and you can see Olympia

2:28.9

you can go to Japan and you can

2:31.2

actually you should do this because she's maybe

2:33.3

my favorite wrestler at the moment you can see Jehiro Hashimoto in Sendai Girls and you can, actually you should do this because she's maybe my favorite

2:34.1

wrestler at the moment, you can see Chihiro Hashimoto in Sendai Girls. Obviously, you can watch

2:38.6

Stardom as well and their ridiculous roster and all that. But despite this talent, it does feel

2:43.3

like there's still not true parity when it comes to men and women. Yeah, and just to clarify,

2:49.4

this is not us saying that it should just automatically be 50-50. Like, we're not saying that, oh, we're night one of WrestleMania should automatically be a women's match and, you know, one of the nights of WrestleMania should automatically be. Like if the only match this year, no offense was Maxine Dupree versus Natty, you wouldn't be like, well, that needs to go ahead of Cody Rhodes versus Randi Owen, for example.
