So I wanted to share a story with you on how I was able to make quite a bit of money,

very good returns through something called crisis investing and of course that's not an original term

I'm getting that from my good friend Doug Casey and actually ironically enough Doug is how I got the idea for this crisis, this crisis investing I did back in 2013 that ended up working out very, very well for my portfolio.

And I think it's something that may present opportunities

in 2023 for all the reasons that we always talk about on this channel.

Although those opportunities might not be there right now,

I think it's prudent to go ahead and set up a watch list and prepare.

Just in case things get cheap, you can go ahead and take action

and it's premeditated.

It's not reactionary. So let's go ahead and first and foremost go over this story from

Bloomberg that Josh just sent me. And this is kind of what sparked my idea

why I wanted to talk about crisis investing.

So the title of this story,

Hotels Dist distress lays groundwork for more bankruptcies in 2023.

Now I wasn't familiar with this.

I thought pretty much every hotel was doing well.

And I know there are a lot of hotels that are or did well in 2022.

But this gentleman, Alex Wolf, reports that not all of them did. In fact, several hotels and

name brand hotels actually went bankrupt in 2022 because they were just barely hanging on by a thread.

And although they may have gotten the PPP loans and all these other things that it didn't, along with other factors,

it didn't help them weather the storm, so to speak, and they waved the white flag.
