0:32.5	First up, fuel prices continue to rise over the past week, but a potential cooling off of
0:37.4	the Iran conflict
0:38.3	could ease things in the future if it holds. Oil prices, which are the major component of
0:44.2	gas and diesel prices, took a 10% dive today as President Trump announced that productive talks
0:50.4	were underway to end the war in Iran and that the U.S. will hold off on attacking Iran's
0:55.5	infrastructure for five days. If something can be worked out, that would end the conflict and
1:00.8	reopen the Iranian-controlled strait of Hormuz, where 20% of the world's oil passes through.
1:06.7	Oil prices and subsequently fuel prices could begin to decrease, but that will take some time.
1:12.7	There are nearly 800 tankerships, either stranded in the Persian Gulf or waiting on the outside to get in.
1:19.8	Those ships are running out of food and fuel, and it will take a long time to fuel them all back up and get them moving again.
1:26.5	And of course, this is all a big if.
1:29.3	We don't really know what will happen in the coming days. Currently, gasoline is flirting with a
1:35.0	$4 national average at $3.95 a gallon as of this Monday morning, up another $24 from last week,
1:43.2	and up $1.2 from a month ago.
1:46.0	Diesel is now at $5.28 a gallon on average nationwide, up 30 cents from a week ago,
