Hello there, my very good friends. On today's wrestling news, unfortunately we have to cover the tragic passing of former WWE wrestler, the Patriot.

I've got an update on Vince McMahon's trip to the performance centre.

We're going to kick this news video today off by covering, like I said in the introduction,

the passing of the Patriot, Dell Wilkes, of course, his real name at just 59 years old.

This was first reported by the Charleston Post and courier who wrote that he'd

unfortunately suffered a massive heart attack. That's their words.

Early yesterday, and he passed away from that. So sad news indeed.

The Patriot is probably best known for his work in WWE around about 97-98.

When he was brought back into the company for a second run,

as kind of like an all-American baby face, as you'd imagine, for a guy called the Patriot.

Opposite Bret Hart at the heart of Bret Hart at the heart of Bret Hart at the height of Bret Hart's like anti-USA rum.

So it was a natural kind of fit, perfect character to throw against that version of Bret Hart.

He was unsuccessful in capturing the WWE Champion. He was actually out of wrestling by 1998.

Injury problems mounted up for him. He later worked as a car salesman

after stepping away from the ring forever. But he was also in WCW for a while. He was actually a tag team

champion there. Marcus Alexander Bagwell, buffed Bagwell. You may know him as his tag team partner,

the Stars and Strives tag team. He wrestled in all Japan, all around the world.
