moments ago, actually, as I'm recording this, two national parks that have had timed entry

reservations during the busy season in recent years will not this summer. According to a press

release, Arches National Park and Yosemite National Park will not implement a time-to-entry reservation system in 2026.

The parks will rely on real-time traffic management measures, including temporary traffic

diversions when parking areas reach capacity and deploying additional seasonal staff to manage

high-use areas.

Rocky Mountain National Park, however, will continue its

timed entry reservation system during peak visitation months from late May through mid-October.

The release also officially announced what we already knew, that there would be no park-wide

vehicle reservation system at Glacier National Park and clarified what the plan is for this summer, which we largely laid out for you before, but now it's official with a few changes.
