On today's wrestling news, Drew McIntyre shocks the world.

My name is Phil James. I'm joined by Gareth Morgan to talk all things for wrestling news. We're back. But first up, Drew McIntyre, my God, last night on Smackdown,

shocking the world by winning the three stages of hell match with Cody Rhodes and becoming the new

WWE champion. It was one one in the three stages of hell going into the cage match at the end.

And then a hudded man appears towards the end of the match, obviously takes the hut down. It's Jacob Fartu. He goes after Drew McIntyre for taking him out a few months ago. Or like supposedly taking him out a few months ago. It was kind of always hinted at him. Going after Drew, punch, punch, punch, punch, punch. Cody then comes in to try and stop him. That's what you do. Post, place, post, that's that, that's wrestling. So Cody comes in to try and

stop him

from a Cody then comes in to try and stop him. That's what you do. Pudge, punch, punch, punch.

That's right, that's wrestling.

So Cody comes in to try and stop him from attacking Drew.

And then Jacob Pardue turns around, takes out Cody as well.

And kind of, while that is happening, Drew just kind of crawls and then falls out of the door and wins the match.

But yeah, Drew McIntyre is the new WWE champion.

It's third run with this belt, fourth world title reign in total.

And yeah, just exciting times.

Yeah, what a shock.

It was, I think, a lot of talk going into this match, these these matches even was, yeah, like, they could do it, but I don't really feel like under the new regime.

They're that, like, interested in doing these big world title changes on, like, shows that aren't really summer slamming resume.

I know the punk one happened at Saturday Night's main event, but that was more out of necessity.
