0:22.9	Welcome back, everyone, a day late here with the show as it's traveling on Monday, but happy St. Patrick's Day to all who celebrate.
0:30.2	First up, fuel prices continue to rise due to the continued conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran.
0:36.1	A gallon of regular gasoline is now 379 a gallon on
0:40.9	average nationwide, up 26 cents from a week ago, and 88 cents from a month ago. It's the
0:46.3	highest national average gasoline price we've seen since September of 2023. And of course,
0:51.3	some states are paying more, some less. That's how averages work.
0:54.6	So don't get at me in the comments.
0:56.7	The highest prices are all in the West, along with Alaska, Hawaii, and Florida.
1:01.2	California is, of course, paying the most at $5.54 a gallon.
1:04.5	The cheapest gas is in the Midwest right now, with Kansas winning out at $3.20 a gallon.
1:10.1	Diesel's crossed the $5 a gallon mark for the first
1:13.1	time since the fall of 2023 with a nationwide average of 504 up $1.45 from a month ago.
1:20.6	Fuel prices have risen pretty much daily for three straight weeks. I think maybe there was one
1:24.4	day that dropped a penny last week. The issue is still that Iran has blocked the strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf,
1:30.7	which 20% of the world's oil flows through.
1:33.2	Tanker ships are waiting on either side of the strait to be able to pass,
1:36.7	but that doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon.
