I'm Jason Epperson. This is RV Miles, and it's time for the latest in RV and camping news.

0:06.2

First up, the Florida RV Super Show has concluded in Tampa. It's an event that many use as a bit of a litmus test for the coming year of RV sales.

0:15.4

Attendance was 70,100 people, as reported by RV business, up slightly from last year's 68,000. The record set in

0:24.5

2022 was 80,000. I think the weather affects RV show attendance dramatically, so I'm not in the

0:30.8

camp of relying on attendance as a predictor of what's to come, but it does seem that most brands are

0:36.2

pretty optimistic about how sales at the show went.

0:39.6

I know it seems like brands would just pay lip service to sales at the show, but that's not been my

Our previous news episode shared all the brand overhauls and debuts that we were able to see at the show.

1:11.3

And on the RV Miles podcast, Abby and I shared our takeaways from the show.

1:14.9

It does seem to be really a sea change year for RV design with many brands overhauling from

1:20.3

the ground up. I hope you'll check that episode out as well, and there's plenty more coverage to

1:25.0

come. One of the biggest pieces of news that happened during the show wasn't from the fairgrounds

1:29.9

at all, but from auto manufacturer Honda.

1:33.0

Honda revealed that it's been working on a prototype of a travel trailer called the

1:38.0

Bay Station at the company's U.S. research and development centers in Los Angeles and

1:43.0

Ohio.

1:43.4

Designed with modularity and integrated smart technology, the base station prototype is designed
