I didn't realize that Home Depot does such extensive surveys on their customers.

But it looks like they do and I think what you can

discover from these surveys really tells you a lot about what's happening

beneath the surface. So key talking points here. Home Depot's fiscal second quarter

earnings and sales beat expectations, but it said it expects comparable sales to decline this year. And by the way, they beat expectations,

but that's because expectations were incredibly low.

You always see these headlines, oh, we beat expectations.

Yeah, that's because expectations were for sales to decline by 1%,

which is what expectations were. Or at least that's what Home Depot had

...
