There are loads of misconceptions around cigarette related litter.

I thought was just a harmless bit of paper that is mind-blowing?

I've always thought they would buy a degradable or made out cotton or something, but they're

not.

In our plastic, that means a cigarette book breaks apart into microplastics, seeping

toxins into the earth that harm nature, contaminate waterways and pollute where we live.

If, like me, you thought they'd get filtered out once they go down the drain, then you'd

be mistaken.

And this is a huge problem facing Britain today because cigarette buds don't just make

up a tiny handful of worst that you might expect.

In fact, cigarette buds make up to 66% of all litter.

Now you can see how damaging the problem really is.
