Now, we know there has been so much coverage already about media failures, about rampant

propaganda, about double standards.

I want to make sure that before we get into this, we don't forget to note the imperialism

and the racism and imperialism that has been on full display.

Say senior foreign correspondent for CBS Charlie DeGotta saying live from Kiev that, quote,

now with the Russians marching in, it's changed the calculus entirely.

Tens of thousands of people have tried to flee the city.

There will be many more people hiding out in bomb shelters, but this isn't a place with

all due respect like a rock or a Afghanistan that has seen conflict raging for decades.

This is a relatively civilized, relatively European city where you wouldn't expect or hope

that that's going to happen.

You also heard ITV's Lucy Watson call Ukraine not a developing third world nation and that

was unthinkable that this would happen in the quote, unquote, hard of Europe.

Of course, the Holocaust happened in the hard of Europe.
