never been shy. No. About talking about her inactivity and not getting on TV as much, and now she

is offered what I think is a really measured and fair appraisal of her current situation. The wrestler we are talking about is Deona Parato, who was, you know, an AW signing to, you know, pretty big a claim because she was coming out of the TNA knockouts division where she was the benchmark. Yes. The standard bearer, if you will. The Virtuosa, that's her gimmick, but it's not just a gimmick. She's really good. Now she's the Ring of Honor Woman's Pure Champion, and she never defends the belt. That's going on! So, for a bit context, she won this title. She became the first Ring of Honor Women's Pure Champion when she beat Billy Stark's final battle that was on the 5th of December so that's over two months ago at this stage

but she's not defended it yet and her only match so far this year was actually a six

woman tag on some tapings in January she's not been active and she's now done an

interview of BCP Plus where she's talked about it talked about about her reign so far, and here's what she said.

I think this is very fair.

I think I'm a little disappointed to not have depended my championship yet.

I am constantly trying to rack my brain of like what else can I do and what more can I do and how much more of myself can I give.

And for that not to be reciprocated in any environment, not just in Ring of Honor, is really defeating for me. A lot of my self-worth comes from my work and my body of work and being able to participate actively and feel like I'm making a difference in women's wrestling. I don't know what else I can do to change that. So for me, I was saying, okay, if I'm not going to get these opportunities here, I need to stay ready, I need to stay crisp for when they do come. So, yeah, I don't really get why you'd have somebody as talented as Deonaburano Parato on your roster and not book them. Yeah. Seems weird. I can really understand the frustrations here.

I will say as someone who hasn't got the time to watch Ring of Honor.

It's a name I haven't seen in a long while, and it's a shame that because like you say, she's so talented and when she was, because she would popped up on WWE for a bit, didn't she, of course, as well? She was in NXT. Yeah. and then TNA and then yeah people expected I think people expected bigger things from her

or being booked a little bit better in AW I will say I don't think this is necessarily some sort of like malicious act by Tony Kahn this is just symptomatic of the problem that he does kind of have with spinning so many plays I'm not just talking about AW in ring of on it. You've got Jaguars, you've got Fulham, etc, etc. And I think deserves credit, Tony Carr, for the way he's turned the ship around with regards to AEW in, certainly from the start of this year. They've had a great year. They've been really, really good. But unfortunately, that's going to be his major focus. R.H, he's still involved, obviously, heavily in it. And, you know, there's just a lot of stuff going on. And unfortunately, people and things fall through the cracks. And it feels like that's what's happened here. Yeah, for sure. And it's like, I check in on Ring of Honor every now and then. I like watching Tommy Billington. I like watching Adam Priest. I like watching The Work Horseman.
