On today's solo Thursday news, there's an absurd update on Cody Rhodes'

Cody Rose has provided a positive update on his current status.

Of course, Cody was busted open pretty badly, man.

WrestleMania 42 against Randy Orton.

I mean, from a k-fabe sense,

WB is crediting Randy Hutton's punt kick with busting open Cody.

But by all accounts, it was actually a punch that

did the damage, a punch that Randy hit shortly before the spot where he'd RKO referee, Charles

Robinson.

Now that all resulted in Cody needing several stitches in his face, staples in the back of his

head, bruised, bloodied, left eye, swollen shut.

I mean, we did see some of the fallout of that on Raw when Cody removed his

sunglasses to, basically, to show off the damage. And it was also suggested that Cody would

be in concussion protocol amidst fears that, well, he'd suffered a concussion. And some fans even

speculated whether the American nightmare may be forced to vacate the WBRE title. Now, Cody

has posted an update on Instagram, starting with the fact that he won't have to lose his eye, which, hmm, that is quite the phrase, a phrase that Cody is called absurd. As he put it, you won't lose the eye, has to be the most positive yet absurd thing I've ever heard in a doctor's office. So good news for Cody Rhodes at least,

even if, yeah, that's quite a heavy line from his doctor. And now Dave Meltzer is also
