This is a freaking disaster.

I know there's just, there is no other way to look at it.

I don't care how positive one wants to be.

I don't care how long a baseball season is. Ah, it's a long season. Calm down. You never as bad as you're on when you're bad, never

as good as you're good, whatever. This team is finding new ways to lose on a nightly basis.

And if you think, and I hope what I'm about to say turns out to be false, but I'll

say it anyway, if you think all of a sudden on August 17th or August 22nd or

September 5th, a team that has been garbage for two months is all of a sudden going to find themselves,

they're going to have a fine Jesus moment all of a sudden.

I got a bridge to sell you.

And I don't want to panic, but I am panicking.

I'm panicking because we can sit here every day and say,

well, they're still in a playoff spot. They're still right there. They still have seven games with the Phillies. What happened on Thursday night in a lot of ways was the worst loss of the

season. I know many will argue that Wednesday's game was the worst loss of the season when David Peterson took a deuce on the mound after the Mets handed him a 6-0-0 lead. But you know what made the finale worse? And don't worry, we'll talk about both games. And somehow we'll pick a Rico. I'm the man now star of the series, a net negative or read your angry emails.

We got a lot to do.

Get comfortable.

Get a pillow.

But what made the finale of this series so goddamn bad is that it's the rubber game.
