It's been a long off season of waiting.

And a long weekend, Jets are one of the final two teams to kick off their season at the end of

week one, Monday night football in San Francisco against the 49ers.

Kickoff time scheduled 8.15 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.

And just a little note, we have a new member of the Lockdown Jets family, Chris Schubert, who is going to, through the season, provide us with instant recaps of games. I spoke with, I got to meet Chris last week. We had a couple laughs. I told him, I think everyone will like him better than they like me. And like I said, it's been a long off season of waiting. And it's tough when you play Monday night football week one because you're watching all the other teams get into action. Finally, we get to see the New York Jets in action. In many ways, this game's kind of deja vu because last year, of course, we saw the Jets play week one. It was a highly anticipated game that was supposed to be Aaron Rogers' debut.

And I guess for four plays, it was Aaron Rogers' debut. And then things kind of fell apart.

You know, four plays into the season, Aaron Rogers suffered an injury. Jets were playing a contender.

It was a marquee matchup week one to close out the opening week on the schedule. And Jets actually won the game.

It was a thrilling victory.

It was actually one of the time. And I still say it. It was one of the guttiest Jets wins I've ever seen. It was one of the best Jets wins I've ever seen. But I think a lot of us knew deep down at that point that, you know, we were hoping for the best. but with Rogers going down, it was going to be a difficult road ahead for the Jets.
