I know it, you know it, the other team will know it.

without you. Our first question, John, I'm a little bit worried about the Jets run game. How are they

going to be able to run the ball effectively when the other teams are likely to load the box and

sell out to stop the run? It's a great question, and how the Jets counter that will be one of the

things that defines their 2025 season. Here's what I'll say about running the ball. It's not

usually about deception. Running the ball is really about going against the opponent,

blocking guys up, hitting the right hole hard, running with authority. It's not like the passing

game where in many ways you're trying to kind of deceive the opposition. A great running team

has to be able to run the ball effectively even when the other team knows it's coming, even when the other team is selling out against the run.

And if you look at the teams that are the top notch rushing attacks in the league, there's not really a surprise when they run the ball a lot.

Other teams scheme to try and take the run away. Other teams put

that extra safety in the box. Sometimes teams put two extra safeties in the box to try and

stop the run. The great running teams are still able to run the ball effectively despite all

of this. Now, I think there are a couple of different aspects here for the Jets that they will need to hit on a high level to make their running game work.

Number one is the offensive line needs to be good.
