We have some good news and some bad news for New York Jets fans today.

Which should we start with? You know, usually you start with the bad news, but I'm going to

begin on a positive note. We're going to talk the good news. The Jets made a big decision yesterday

on the contract status of three players they drafted in the first round in 2022. Of course,

you may remember, back in 2022, the Jets had three first round

picks. And they decided to pick up the fifth year option on all three players. The Jets drafted

Saus Gardner fourth overall back in 2022. That was their own pick. They drafted Garrett Wilson,

10th overall in 2022. That was the pick they got from Seattle for Jamal Adams. And then they

traded up into the first round for a third pick.

That was Jermaine Johnson.

So fifth year option essentially means this.

First round picks get four-year contracts.

That's their first contract in the NFL.
