| 1:11.7 | John, we are officially just about wrapped up with our mock drafts. Thanks so much to everybody who sent in questions. Let's begin. Our first question is from Taylor. |
| 1:11.7 | John, we are officially just about wrapped up with our mock drafts. |
| 1:15.3 | Let's assume Cam Ward, Shador Sanders, and Abdul Carter do not make it to seven, and the Jets do not trade up. |
| 1:20.4 | Do you think Mason Graham is the pick we should all be rooting for? |
| 1:22.8 | Who are the potential prospects you would be most and least excited to see us drafting? |
| 1:26.7 | So in the scenario |
| 1:28.0 | Taylor laid out, Jets stay at seven, they don't trade up, Cam Ward, Dor Sanders, Abdul Carter, |
| 1:33.0 | are gone. My assumption is that the Heisman trophy winner Travis Hunter will not make it to |
| 1:39.1 | seven either. But to me, that would be the dream scenario. I think Travis Hunter is like the first prospect in a very long time, who's a non-quarterback, but could potentially have quarterback value. |
| 1:51.5 | If you're not familiar with Travis Hunter, he's a guy who plays both wide receiver, or at least in college, played both wide receiver and corner full time and played both at a very high level, which is the reason he won the Heisman trophy. Now, here's the thing with Travis Hunter. I feel like people have just like arbitrarily decided what he can or can't do in the NFL. And the reality is we don't know. I mean, there are some prospects where like you draft them and you need to have an idea of how you're going to use him, like an Abdul Carter, a guy who played like multiple positions in college, you should have an idea how you're going to use him. And no matter how you use Abdul Carter, he's going to be successful. Travis Hunter's a guy you draft. I think you just kind of like roll with it and you see what he's capable of doing. You know, people say, well, he can't play both spots in the pros. He can't play both corner and wide receiver. And I mean, maybe that's true, but I don't know, like, what definitive proof we have of that. I mean, just because it's very rare for it to happen, that doesn't mean it's impossible for it to happen. You know, like, I get the argument. I am a bit skeptical that he'll be able to play both wide receiver and corner full time in the NFL. But, I mean, he was able to do it in college. There aren't a lot of guys who can do it in college. And like even let's say, let's say hypothetically, it's just too much. You know, you got to be meetings for both sides of the ball. You know, you got to focus on practice of both sides of the ball. |
| 4:14.2 | Let's say hypothetically, maybe he's like your number one corner and he's your number four receiver. That's an incredible amount of value. And like in big games, you know, maybe you've limited snaps early in the season, but big games, you give him, you increase his snap total at wide receiver. you know, that's, that's an incredible amount of value you get for a player. Or, you know, various first, he could be your number one receiver and maybe he plays in sub packages on the defensive side of the ball. Then in big games, he plays a lot more at corner. That's a guy with just like an unbelievable amount of value. Again, like, I do like that's the scenario where this guy could be like as valuable as a quarterback. But let me throw out another option because I've heard, I've heard, I've heard of Travis Hunter is that, well, he can't play both in the NFL. And if it was just a corner prospect, some people say he'd be a late first round pick. And if it was just a receiver prospect, some people say he'd just be a late first round pick. Let's think that statement through for a second. Because Travis Hunter, if you were just, if you're saying he would just be a late first round pick if he was focused a if he was focused at corner, if he was just to just be a late first round pick if he was a wide receiver. You have to remember, he was like splitting his time. |
| 4:19.0 | His attention was being split. So if you want to draft him just to play corner, keep in mind that like people are saying he'd be a late first round pick, even though he wasn't really that |
| 4:22.5 | focused a corner. Or if you want to draft him to just play wide receiver, he'd be a late first |
| 4:27.4 | round pick if he was just a wide receiver prospect now think about him like |
| 4:31.4 | instead of giving half his attention to a position think about him giving full time attention to that |
| 4:36.9 | position think about how much he's going to improve in those spots so like there are lots of different |
