They lost a player to the waiver wire, and they signed their practice squad, a very eventful day after cut down day. That's why one of the reasons we always say cut down day is just the beginning. And as I mentioned yesterday, that initial 53-man Jets roster was unlikely to be the roster they took into the week one game against San Francisco, and we already have our first change. |
| 1:28.6 | The Jets put in a waiver claim, and they acquired tight end Brendan Bates off waivers from the |

If somebody gets hurt, then you can't run two tight end sets if you only keep two tight ends on your roster. So the Jets had to add a third tight add. |
| 2:33.0 | And as I mentioned yesterday, it felt like |
| 2:35.3 | that initial roster was kind of, they just kind of, it was kind of like a placeholder where |
| 2:40.5 | maybe they had their eye on somebody who was going to be waived. And as it turns out, |
| 2:44.7 | it's Brendan Bates, the tight end for the Chicago Bears who was just waived who, you know, |
