We are two weeks away from the official start of Jets training camp, and this is the time of year,

1:00.9

NFL network annually produces a list of the top 100 players in the NFL.

1:06.1

And I think it's fair to say that this list is frequently off target.

1:10.3

I still remember the season when Tim Tebow was listed as one of the top 100 players in the NFL.

1:16.9

But on today's show, I wanted to give you my own list of the top 10 players currently on the Jets roster,

1:22.9

but not just give you a list. I also wanted to give you expectations for 2025 for these elite players

1:28.6

that the Jets currently have and maybe offer a few hints as to why these players could exceed those

contract extension. Some of the rumors are that it could make him the highest paid cornerback in the history of the NFL. And all I can say to that is it would be richly deserved because Sauce Gardner is an elite corner. Two of his three seasons, he's been a first team all pro. Now, of course, last year was the one of those three seasons where he was not listed as a first team all-pro. But even then, it's not like he had a terrible season, especially as

2:21.9

we got deeper into the year. He kind of refound his shutdown corner mode. He's a guy who can lock

2:29.1

down the elite receivers in this league. And I think Aaron Glenn's system is going to accentuate his skill set in a way

2:36.1

Robert Salas did not, because Salah played a lot of zone coverage. And zone is the dominant

2:40.7

coverage scheme in the NFL today. And the reason for that is simple. It's easier to guard an area
