Hey guys, I'm excited about this one because some of you may have seen the destination fear episode

0:05.9

the night and they were at the road hospital on College Hill and a great friend of the show,

0:10.8

Marianne Farley, she's personally a good friend of ours as well and she has helped us so much

0:16.9

in the past. She kind of gave me the heads up and she said, hey, this episode is going to be coming out in a couple of weeks. Keep it hush, hush, which I did, which is rare for me. But I kept it hush, hush. And she said, hey, once this thing airs, I've got the owner, Tanya Webb, and we'd like to kind of come on and talk about the play. So obviously, I jumped all over that. So first of all, Mary Ann Farley,

0:39.2

thank you for that. And Tanya Webb, thank you for coming on the show with us today.

0:43.7

Oh, you're welcome. Very welcome. Let's talk, Tanya. I want to know how you became the owner of

0:51.1

the Hode Hospital on College Hill. What prompted you to do that what what made you want

0:56.0

to do that and where your involvement with the hospital started i would say at a very early age

1:02.0

1:07.6

1973 for those that don't know i grew grew up. It's almost like Kentucky,

1:13.3

West Virginia thing. I go back and forth. I was born in Williamson, West Virginia, and raised in

1:17.9

Kentucky. And then I came back to West Virginia, so I've been back and forth. But I pretty much,

1:22.1

other than going off to college for a few years and living in Lexington, Kentucky for a few years,

1:27.0

I came back home. I've lived in

1:28.3

this area most of my life. So the old hospital on Paul and Hill was always a building I was

1:34.8

very fascinated with. If you've never seen it, it overlooks the city of Williamson. And it's just

1:39.9

always had this amazing, interesting, and even kind of creepy factor when it was even in

1:46.9

operation. But I was born there in 73. I also had two grandparents that I never met,

1:53.5

pass away there before I was born. So my connection and my emotional tie to the hospital

1:59.0

was very strong. And it's just one of my favorite buildings in town.

2:02.6

And when I came to learn that it was up for sale, basically, I just felt the need, you know,

2:10.4

personally, it was something I wanted to do for myself, but I also wanted to do for my community
