I hope everyone has had a gorgeous Christmas.

Now, I know I'm a little late, arriving, fashionably late, I would say, but I do come bearing a little gift for you

all. I've been saving some secret snippets from a couple of our chats this year. Bits that have

never been heard before, they are just for you. First, the wonderful Dr Emily McDonough. She's such a thoughtful, reflective soul,

and it was just so lovely hearing her open up

about the real raw moments of becoming a mum.

Enjoy.

Because I remember thinking a lot,

I don't know what I'm doing.

I don't know how to do this. How do I wean her? How do I feed her? How do I do the nights? Like, you know, how do I be a parent? I didn't actually know. And it was hard. Did it feel? Did you feel okay vocalizing that to anyone or, you know, expressing it? Not really, because I think I felt a little bit like I should know.

And I just didn't.

But you kind of work it out as you go along.

But I don't think anyone had ever said to me, my mum obviously was like, font of all knowledge.

But not a lot of people would be like, oh my God, that's really hard.

Or I had those feelings of like, you know, what have I done?

Yeah.

Those things.

And they're hard to say because, you know, it's always got to be, I feel like it's always

like caveat with, but I love my baby.

Of course you love your baby.

But those two things can still be true.
