0:01.4	Can I tell you how happy I am that you are starting
0:05.2	your New Year off with us?
0:07.4	Maybe today you have plans to eat collard greens
0:10.2	and black eyed peas later.
0:12.0	Is that just a southern thing?
0:13.5	Because here in North Carolina,
0:15.7	our family has a New Year's tradition
0:17.9	where we eat pork and collards and black eyed peas.
0:21.2	Supposedly, it symbolizes good things for the New Year.
0:24.1	I think collards represent prosperity
0:26.3	and peas represent good luck.
0:28.2	But mostly, we just like them
0:30.6	and we're celebrating a New Year together as a family.
0:34.5	Whatever you feed your soul is way more important
0:38.0	than what you feed your body.
0:40.0	And so no matter what you plan to eat today,
0:42.4	you are ahead of the game
0:44.3	because you're feeding your soul.
0:46.4	It's so important to pause and to look back.
0:49.3	And that is what today is all about.
