Good morning, everyone. I'm Kate Baldwin. It's Wednesday, February 11th. Here are the five things you need to know to start your day.

Number one, the persons of interest. That is what the FBI director says that they are now looking for as they search for who kidnapped Nancy Guthrie.

And overnight, police detained a person for questioning after a traffic stop about an hour

south of Tucson, and that person has since been released and not charged.

Investigators also completed a search of a property in that same area of Rio Rico.

According to the Pima County Sheriff, a woman there told CNN it was her home and that authorities were investigating her son-in-law. I don't know who is she is. I don't know anything about her. They only said that they gave it tip that she was in my house. And I told them, you can go in and search my house. There's nobody there. I have nothing to hide. There's nobody in my house. And I don't know what's going on. Now entering the 11th day in a desperate search for the 84-year-old mother of today's show host, Savannah Guthrie. Authorities say they're seeing an uptick in calls and tips after releasing this surveillance video from Nancy Guthrie's home doorbell camera, an armed, masked person approaching her door,

clearly trying to disguise their identity that night that she disappeared.

The Guthrie family says they don't recognize the person in the video.

When Savannah shared it on social media, she added about her mother, quote,

We believe she is still alive.

TMZ's Harvey Levin, who received one of the original purported ransom notes, also now says a Bitcoin account attached to the purported ransom letters has seen activity.

Number two, the Canadian school shooting. It is now confirmed that nine people are dead after a horrible tragedy in

British Columbia. Now Canada's deadliest school shooting in decades. This happened in a

remote and picturesque mountain town. Police found six people dead and dozens more injured

after responding to calls of an active shooter at Tumblr Ridge Secondary School. They now say another person died on the way to the hospital,

and two more people were found dead at a home believed to be connected to the suspected shooter.

A local journalist arrived on the scene as it was all unfolding.

As I was just about to go live, two cop cars just came zooming by towards the school and a emergency

alert went out. So this is not a rumor. Police say this is the suspect died at the school

from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

They say they know the identity of the shooter, but they have not released a name or age.

CBC News reports the initial emergency described the suspect as a brown-haired woman in a dress.
