Well this week both presidential campaigns started getting federal resources to plan the next transition into the White House. Of course transitions

really kick into high gear after election day once we know who won.

At that point whoever becomes the president-elect will have to pick and vet about 4,000 political

appointees and start policy planning. But even before then, the process

begins with nominees holding meetings with federal agencies, managing a database of

resumes and more. Vice President Kamala Harris recruited the Ambassador to the

Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Johannes Abraham, to lead her transition team.
