| 0:00.0 | All right. We are live, everyone, for a new episode of the Electric Podcast. I am Fred Lambert, your host. And as usual, I'm joined by the one in unique Set Whitcham. How are you doing, Seth? I'm good. All right. I'm sure that everyone is tired again of talking about tariffs, but we kind of have to give you an update anyway because it is undoubtedly the story line that's affecting the auto market and therefore the EV market more than anything right now. |
| 0:34.4 | So we're going to give you a quick update on that. Then we're going to talk about a new cyber truck that was released this week, a new version of it. The new railroad drive |
| 0:43.3 | has been significantly updated. We're going to talk about that. Talk about Lucid buying |
| 0:47.6 | Nicholas Asset. That was an interesting thing that happened in the middle of the night last night. |
| 0:51.8 | And then we have a few new EVs that we get some specs and some looked at. |
| 0:57.4 | So we're going to have all that good stuff. |
| 0:59.9 | And at that at the end of the show, as usual, we're going to take you guys' questions. |
| 1:03.1 | So I'm going to remind you as more people come in because we just went live. |
| 1:06.6 | But, yep, tariffs. |
| 1:09.4 | We talked about them a lot last week, about how stupid the reciprocal tariffs are because they're not really reciprocal tariffs. |
| 1:17.7 | They are, let me mute myself, my notification real quick. |
| 1:22.5 | They're not, the calculation, they were presented as half of what the U.S. get imposed on its export by these countries. |
| 1:31.8 | Now the U.S. is being nice and they are only implementing half of those tariffs on other countries. |
| 1:37.7 | But then the math was revealed to be as stupid as the trade deficit divided by the imports of those countries. And then they literally added |
| 1:46.4 | like the Greek numbers for four and a fourth to that to that equation, which, you know, |
| 1:55.5 | you divide. That was the stupidest part. Yeah, you divide four by a quarter and then you get one. |
| 2:01.5 | So that doesn't do anything to the equation. |
| 2:03.9 | It just makes it look fancy if you don't know what your, |
| 2:07.0 | if you don't know basic maths or you forget your Greek numbers. |
| 2:12.1 | But if you needed to prove just how stupid administration is, then they thought like no one's |
| 2:20.8 | going to catch that. |
| 2:22.7 | Or I don't know, maybe it's some like 5D chess move. |
