Rep. Andy Biggs says the motion to impeach Mayorkas was sent to Committee, which is a way of basically sending it off to oblivion. At this point, it’s going to be really hard to bring this motion back up. We now have a terrible CR agreement after only 2 Democrats and 93 Republicans voted against it. So whose bill is it really? Marxist Dems or GOP? Biggs says he’s trying very hard to make sure Johnson operates differently than McCarthy. Biggs thinks it’s unfortunate that this will be the first impression voters will have of the new Speaker. It’s a continuation of Pelosi, Schumer, and Biden spending levels and policies. Johnson’s proposal is a clean 2-step CR with no reduction in spending and no elimination of policies. Biggs thinks Republicans should have demanded something meaningful in return like aid for Israel, left town and let the Senate decide if they’re going to shut down the government or give Republicans something meaningful. Instead, there is nothing. Biden is incapable of leading the nation yet he’s talking about giving billions more to Iran who is funneling it to other terrorist organizations. Spending policies like this remain in Johnson’s CR. The border will remain open because of the GOP’s failure to leverage the CR. Instead of taking charge and getting something meaningful for the American people, Biggs says we continue down a path of accelerating disintegration of this once great nation.
