And today taking a seat in a really cool setup is the Skip, literally, of the Miami Marlins, the new manager down there in South Florida. Skip Schumacher.

Congrats, man. How are you? Yeah, thanks. It's kind of weird to hear that title by my name still, but it's been a crazy month, but an exciting time.

Yeah, so you're hanging out. This is not like your office in Miami right now. This better be some cool spot in your crib and Cali.

Yeah, this is just my office at home and kind of a memorabilia, you know, some stuff on the walls

and stuff that are reminded that I actually played one day. My kids actually reminded that too.

Stop. You got almost a thousand career hits in the show. Don't act like you were some bit player here,

Jumacher. I just rode Albert's coattails. It worked out pretty good.

That's a long line, though. That was a lot of coattails where there were guys, you know,

it was like following on Santa's sleigh. There were a bunch of dudes on that one.

So you had company. That's true. Very true. Very true.

All right. You'll give us a tour of the office in a little bit, but I want to get

to the whole idea of now becoming a major league manager because you're one of 30 walking the

planet. When was the first time you thought, hey, this is something I want to do? Yeah, a few years

ago, a couple teams, I was interviewed by a couple teams. And at the time, I was a first

base coach. And I didn't, I knew what the bench coach role was, but I needed to be in that

seat first. And after taking those interviews, I was kind of preparing for the wrong stuff.

I was looking up and down organizations and trying to figure out what's wrong, what's right.

And honestly, I wasn't asked any questions about the current state of their organization.
