0:29.6

person of Jesus come alive. And speaking of storytelling, I hope you love a good story.

0:35.9

And if you do, you might be interested in a series of fictional books that I've written

0:40.4

called the Dragon Slayer Chronicles. It's a fantasy sort of series but no magic, no talking

0:47.2

dragons, just life and death situations and faith infused all the way through it. You

1:39.0

New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. And they're called gospels because each of them is

1:45.6

an account of Jesus life told from the perspective of its author. Now this gospel, we're going to be

1:52.6

looking at the gospel of John. John, the one who wrote this was one of Jesus 12 disciples. He was

1:59.0

the brother of James. He was a friend of Simon Peter and his brother Andrew. And he by vocation

2:05.4

was a fisherman. So John was a blue collar guy like most of us, but he was very deep. You'll

2:12.3

find out as we go through even the first few verses of John chapter 1 tomorrow, just how deep he is.
